Chleb Cable Car

The 8-seater Chleb cable car is named after the nearby Chleb peak (1,645 m a.s.l.), the third highest peak in the Krivánska Malá Fatra. The cable car takes you to the upper station at an altitude of 1,494 m a.s.l., just below Snilovské Sedlo, overcoming a vertical distance of 750 meters. The ride itself, lasting approximately 8 minutes, is an experience for many visitors.

Snilovské Sedlo (1,524 m a.s.l.) is an ideal starting point for hikes of various difficulty levels. You can head to Chleb, a suitable hike even for families with children or beginners, or take the opposite direction to Veľký Kriváň (1,708 m a.s.l.), the highest peak of Malá Fatra. The cable car was re-opened in 2006, restoring one of the region’s most significant tourist attractions. It also helps regulate tourist movement along marked trails, contributing to the protection of the rare flora and fauna in the Malá Fatra National Park.
